• Get Back On Track

    Rollin down this endless river

    We’ve been coasting away

Divided now more and more we feel

    So anxious to say

    Get back on track

Find our way out of the fray

    Get back on track

No one should have to pay

Lately you can count the rain drops falling

    Heavy on the panes

Waiting for a day with less commotion

When peace will find its way

    Get back on track

Find our way out of the fray

    Get back on track

    Let’s save a life today

    Get back on track

Dry a tear drop on a face

    Get back on track

No one should have to pay

Broken its time we all have spoken

    Crying out for change

    Get back on track

Find our way out of the fray

    Get back on track

    Lets save a life today

    Get back on track

Dry a tear drop on a face

    Get back on track

No one should have to pay

    Get back on track

    Get back on track

    Let's get back on track

    Get back on track

  • Catacomb

I’ve had about enough of this pandemic

The virus is a little too systemic

    Throw me a bone

    Im trying to get home

Mom and dad got both their vaccines

The world is starting to get clean

    I’m ready to roam

    I need to get home

I haven’t seen my family in over a year

Thats enough to paint an eyeball with a tear

I’m thinking that it’s time to get back

And pick up where we left in the past

    Break through this catacomb

    And find a way home

I haven’t paid my landlord I’m late on my rent

Been living on unemployment saving every cent

I’ve had about enough of this pandemic

The virus is a little too systemic

    Throw me a bone

    Im trying to get home

  • See You On The Other Side

It's hard to lose a friend so young

But I'll stay strong enough to put these words in a song

The credits roll we fade to black

The memories never seem to lack

The good times we had come marching back

A joy to me you'll always be

Laughing at your jokes as we dash to the beach

The guitar man with a sturdy hand

Posters on the wall of your favorite bands

One of the few best friends I've ever had

    Rest your eyes

    With your golden shine

    Friend of mine

I'll see you on the other side

Such a champ to light up the room

Pals with all the girls I could only assume

That you'd be the first to get married

And I'd be by your side

Watching the first dance with your bride

    Rest your eyes

    With your golden shine

    Friend of mine

I'll see you on the other side

Taking a walk with my back against the wind

The days go on but the chills run down my skin

If I could see your face again

    Rest your eyes

    With your golden shine

    Friend of mine

I'll see you on the other side

    Friend of mine

I'll see you on the other side

    Friend of mine

I'll see you on the other side

  • Hometown

Out on the diamond sun sinking slow

My pop sending signs like drag and go

It’s times like these wish I could slow it down

And spend a little time in my own hometown

Hear the wind rustling through the trees

That red brick house with a yellow glow

Let’s gather around the fire on this winters night

And share all the stories only we could write

    Singing my hometown

    I couldn’t beat it if I tried

    My hometown

We both shared our troubled times

    My hometown

Your the root of this journey we call life

    My hometown

Sat on the edge of a fishing boat

Which taught me how to sink and eventually float

I learned how to make my family proud

And I owe it all to my hometown

    My hometown

    I couldn’t beat it if I tried

    My hometown

We both shared some troubled times

    My hometown

Your the root of this journey we call life

    My hometown

  • Ojai

    Took a trip to Ojai

    Down meditation road

    I’m trying to find

A more peaceful state of mind

    Got you by my side

    And this bottle of wine

    Feeling so fine

    In the warm sunshine

    Towards the pixie grove

    Leave those weary troubles behind

    In Ojai

    Taking a walk

    Gonna catch that pink moment

    What a magical sight

When the mountains take you in

    Towards the pixie grove

    Wave those weary troubles goodbye

    In Ojai

    Ojai…

    Took a trip to Ojai

    Towards the pixie grove

    Let those weary troubles die

    In Ojai

  • A Loyal Friend

You don’t talk you never lie

You love to tilt your head

When it’s time to call it a night

You bring the ball up to me in bed

Sometimes I just need a friend

Sometimes I just need a friend

I know you’ll never bring me flowers

    On my grayest day

But when you hear my car door slam

You come running through the doorway

Sometimes I just need a friend

Sometimes I just need a friend

A friend to call my own

A friend I'm proud to know

A friend to ease the pain

A loyal friend to take the reins

A friend to call my own

A friend I'm proud to know

A friend to ease the pain

A loyal friend to take the reins

I know you always love my jokes

    You never pass me by

You don’t argue or call me names

You’re the apple of my eye

Sometimes I just need a friend

A loyal friend to the end

Sometimes I just need a friend

  • Could Have Been

I could have learned to fight fires in the night

Descending down a brass sliding pole

I could have gotten paid for the ball I used to play

Charging down to score that winning goal

These are all the things that I thought I could be

It’s the difference of where I ended up today

The things I could have been

I could have been the kind to leave it all behind

Take my bags and hit the wide open road

I could have settled down and stayed in the same town

Been an old time neighborhood boy who stuck around

These are all the things that I thought I could be

It’s the breach of where I ended up today

The things I could have been they molded who I am

They’re the reason why I write the songs I play

    The things I could have

Been counting sheep trying to get to sleep

    Thinking about tomorrow

Will I beg steal or borrow?

I could have gone to class

Just maybe I would have passed

Handing all my papers in on time

    I could have gotten canned

Be living out of a van

Picking up hours at the local five and dime

These are all the things that I thought I could be

The deviation of where I ended up today

The things I could have been they molded who I am

They’re the reason why I write the songs I play

The things I could have been

    Things I could have been

    Things I could have been

    Things I could have been

  • To The Very End

We had plans to get married with family and friends

Then the world took a turn and threw a curveball plan

Now we’re eloping me and my eternal friend

Gonna head out towards the Santa Ana winds

Get hitched with the dog and watch our life begin

We’ll start a family and maybe raise a kid

Love you in the morning when you first wake up

Love the rich bold smell of your coffee cup

You’re my baby gonna keep my eyes glued on you

    To the very end

So take my hand I’m all yours

Be my partner through thick and thin

Let’s persevere through good times as well as bad

You’ll wash my hair when i’m old and gray

I’ll rub your back on a gloomy day

And if you’re lucky ill let you sip my IPA

Love you in the morning when you first wake up

Love the rich bold smell of your coffee cup

You’re my baby gonna take away all my blues

Love you in the evening when it’s time for bed

Love the smell of the pillow where you rest your head

You’re my baby the only one that I’ll choose

    To the very end

  • California Queen

    Yellow covered poppy fields

    A valley filled with smoke

I took a turn into Los Alamos

Down a grape vine country road

I said Im here to taste your wine

    Señorita read my mind

    Then she asked me

    Are you here to unwind?

See the angel in the crimson shades

Was she sent from up above?

We took a drive down the PCH

And put her crystals in the glove

    Drowned by her ocean eyes

    A Hollywood movie scene

    My California Queen

    Haven’t got no worries

    Haven’t got no cares

Ive been sipping on tequila all night

    Living like a millionaire

She’s got a golden state of mind

She’s got the sun kissed hair

Ive been walking in the shadows

Not ever knowing she was there

See the angel in the crimson shades

Was she sent from up above?

We took a drive down the PCH

And put her crystals in the glove

    Drowned by her ocean eyes

    A Hollywood movie scene

    My California Queen

    My California

Oh El Dorado come and pour your gold on me

Pick me up and take me to your treasured seas

Take me to your treasured seas

See the angel in the crimson shades

Was she sent from up above?

We took a drive down the PCH

And put her crystals in the glove

    Drowned by her ocean eyes

    A Hollywood movie scene

    My California Queen

  • One Last Breath

What a strange way to be living

A manic world spinning from my couch

It’s a Covid way to be living

Feels like a prison locked inside my house

What a difficult way to be living

Still in the same mask I’ve worn through this haze

It’s a Covid way to be living

When you kneel on my neck to an early grave

So give me just one last breath

Before you bury me with the rest of them

What a Covid way to be living

Wake up tomorrow and do it all again

It’s an uneasy way to be living

    (Let's spread the love around)

    Socially now six feet apart

    (Let's come together now)

That’s a Covid way to be living

    (Let's reach our hands out)

Hoping to embrace a fresh new start

    (It's time for peace now)

So give me just one last breath

Before you bury me with the rest of them

That’s a real Covid way to be living

Wake up tomorrow and do it all again
